Spanish shares gain 2.39 pct Thursday

MADRID, April 5 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained on Thursday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 up 2.39 percent or 227.60 points, to 9,740.90 points.

A total of 32 of the 35 large companies rose in the day.

Steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal advanced 5.40 percent, followed by engineering and infrastructure company Tecnicas Reunidas and consultancy and technology company Indra A that rose 4.32 percent and 4.05 percent respectively.

Electricity supplier R.E.C. lost 0.51 percent, being the top loser of the day. Real estate company Inmobiliaria Colonial went down 0.47 percent and motorways operator Abertis A was down 0.08 percent. Enditem
