SINGAPORE -- Singapore Police Force said on Thursday evening that a 41-year-old man aboard a flight was arrested for making a false bomb threat.
The arrested was a passenger onboard flight TR634 from Singaporean low-cost long-haul airline Scoot. His false alert caused the flight to return to Singapore's Changi Airport on Thursday afternoon while heading for Hat Yai, Thailand. (Singapore-Flight-Bomb Threat)

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will pay a day-long visit to Kabul on Friday to hold wide-ranging talks with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said here on Thursday.
The ministry said the prime minister will have in-depth consultations with Ghani and Afghan Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah on matters of mutual interest, including strengthening bilateral political, economic, security and counter-terrorism cooperation, returning Afghan refugees, combating drug production and illegal drug trade, the Afghan peace process and regional political and security situation. TOKYO -- Five CV-22 Osprey aircraft arrived at the U.S. military's Yokota Air Base in the suburbs of Tokyo despite public opposition, local media reported Thursday.
The five Ospreys were unloaded from ship at the U.S. Army's Yokohama North Dock a day earlier and flew to the Yokota Air Base Thursday after examination.
