CAPE TOWN, April 5 (Xinhua) -- The following are news items in South African major news outlets on Thursday.

-- The South African Communist Party (SACP) said on Wednesday it will definitely not support former president Jacob Zuma when he appears before the Durban High Court on Friday.

This was confirmed by SACP General Secretary Blade Nzimande, who was once a long-time ally of Zuma, and was key in ensuring the former president's rise to power in 2007. (News24)

-- Supporters of former president Jacob Zuma are questioning the integrity of the judiciary, saying that they doubt that the courts can handle Zuma's case without bias.

Some religious organizations, the provincial business forum and the Black First Land First movement are behind Thursday's night vigil and Friday's march in support of the former president. (Eyewitness News)

-- Corruption Watch said on Wednesday growing public pressure on corrupt people and systems has contributed to the significant changes in South Africa.
