Ukraine, Russia scrap about 10 pct of bilateral agreements since 2014: report

KIEV, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine and Russia have scrapped about 10 percent of their bilateral agreements since their dispute started in 2014, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency said on Wednesday, citing a senior Ukrainian government official.

According to the agency, Olena Zerkal, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister, said that the two neighbor countries have either suspended or terminated 44 out of 451 treaties over the past four years.

"As of April 2018, according to our data, all the necessary domestic procedures were completed and a decision was taken to suspend or stop one interstate agreement, 25 intergovernmental agreements and 18 interdepartmental treaties," Zerkal was quoted as saying by the agency.

Relations between Kiev and Moscow have been deteriorating since early 2014 over their different stances on the developments in Crimea and eastern Ukraine. Enditem
