MONROVIA, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Liberian President George Weah on Wednesday jetted out on state visits to Cote d'Ivoire and Ghana, said a presidential spokesman.

During the four-day visit, Weah is expected to meet with his counterparts in the two west African nations, said presidential spokesman Sam Mannah.

The spokesman said the Liberian president will explore avenue for investments and promotion of peace within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), as well as cross-border security issues affecting both Liberia and Cote d'Ivoire.

Weah, who took office on Jan. 22, has embarked on several state visits to African countries and outside Africa in a bid to promote investment in Liberia. Enditem
