Chinese vice premier meets Thai princess

BEIJING, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Sun Chunlan met with Thai crown princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in Beijing on Wednesday.

Sun praised the Thai royal family's important role in promoting China-Thailand relations, and voiced appreciation for Sirindhorn's contribution to deepening friendship and pragmatic cooperation between the two countries.

Sun said China attaches great importance to its ties with Thailand and is willing to make joint efforts with Thailand to deepen their friendship and enhance cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Sirindhorn spoke highly of China's rapid development and said Thailand cherishes its friendly ties with China.

Sirindhorn said she will contribute more to the development of bilateral ties and cooperation between the two countries. Enditem
