ADDIS ABABA, April 4 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets Wednesday.

-- The new Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed, on Tuesday received and held talks with the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, at his office in Addis Ababa.

-- Ethiopia has earned 478 million US dollars from the export of agricultural products in the first eight months of this fiscal year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

-- Construction of an export standard modern abattoir that has the capacity to slaughter daily more than 20,000 animals and an integrated animal byproducts processing center will begin soon, according to Addis Ababa Abattoirs Enterprise.
