Real Madrid defender Abner joins Coritiba on loan

RIO DE JANEIRO, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid left-back Abner has joined his original club Coritiba on loan until the end of 2018, the Brazilian side said on Tuesday.

Abner has played just 24 matches for Real Madrid B since signing with the Spanish giants in 2014.

He was loaned out to Estoril last August but returned to the Bernabeu in February after struggling for opportunities with the Portuguese club.

"I'm really happy to go back to Brazil and have the possibility of being a part of Coritiba's plans to return to Serie A," Abner told Coritiba's official website.

Coritiba were relegated to Brazil's second tier last year after finishing 17th in the Serie A standings. Enditem
