BERLIN, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Hannover's striker Jonathas suffered a new injury during a trainings session, the "Reds" confirmed in an official statement on Tuesday.
The Brazilian sustained a torn hamstring and will be thus out of action for "at least two weeks", according to the club's statement.
"We wish you a speedy recovery and keep our fingers crossed for a quick comeback," Hannover said via the club's official homepage.
Jonathas, known as Jonathas Cristian de Jesus Mauricio, joined newly promoted Hannover in August 2017 to provide three goals and assists in 12 competitive appearances.
However, it is not the first time that the injury prone striker has been sidelined this season.
Hannover sit currently on the 13th place of the Bundesliga standings. They encounter Werder Bremen for the opener of the 29th round on Friday. Enditem
