YANGON -- A pilot was killed at a Myanmar military training jet F-7 crash in Taungoo, Bago region on Tuesday morning, according to a release from the Commander-in-Chief's Office of the Defense Service.
The training jet crashed due to technical glitch while conducting its training near Kyunkone village, at 4.82 kilometers west of its Air Force base at about 11:00 a.m. local time. (Myanmar-Jet-Crash)

SEOUL -- South Korea will send a 7-member delegation to hold working-level talks with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to discuss security and protocol issues for the agreed inter-Korean summit later this month, Seoul's unification ministry said Tuesday.
The delegation will be led by Cho Han-ki, chief of the presidential protocol of the Blue House, the ministry said in a statement. The ministry informed the DPRK of the delegation list earlier in the day via the restored communications channel in the truce village of Panmunjom. (S.Korea-DPRK-Talks)

SEGAMAT, Malaysia -- A railway upgrading project undertaken by Chinese companies in southern Malaysia will further boost ties between the two countries, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said here Tuesday.

TOKYO -- Five Air Force CV-22 Osprey aircraft will arrive at Yokota Air Base in the suburbs of Tokyo later this week, U.S. forces in Japan said Tuesday.
