BERLIN -- German prosecutors announced Tuesday that a former leader of Spain's Catalonia arrested recently in Germany will be extradited.

Attorney General Schleswig-Holstein has applied to the Higher Regional Court in Schleswig for an extradition order of Carles Puigdemont, who had been living in exile in Brussels after failed attempt to separate Catalonia from Spain last October. (Germany-Catalonia-Extradition)

YANGON -- A pilot was killed at a Myanmar military training jet F-7 crash in Taungoo, Bago region on Tuesday morning, according to a release from the Commander-in-Chief's Office of the Defense Service.

The training jet crashed due to technical glitch while conducting its training near Kyunkone village, at 4.82 kilometers west of its Air Force base at about 11:00 a.m. local time. (Myanmar-Plane Crash)

ANKARA -- The groundbreaking ceremony of Turkey's first nuclear power plant, Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, was held Tuesday with the participation of Turkish and Russian presidents via video teleconference from capital Ankara.

TEHRAN -- At least 11 people were killed Tuesday in an arson attack on a teahouse in the Iranian city of Ahvaz in southwestern Khuzestan province, state IRIB TV reported.
