Mongolia launches campaign to crack down on crimes against children

ULAN BATOR, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia has launched a national "Child Protection" campaign to protect children from crimes and accidents, the National Police Agency said Tuesday.

During the month-long campaign, police departments across the country will organize discussions on child protection and intensify measures to prevent crimes against children.

Over 32,000 crimes were recorded in 2017 with children being the victims in 1,757.

In the first quarter of this year, there were over 400 child victims, up 23.81 percent from the same period last year. Enditem
