TEHRAN, April 3 (Xinhua) -- At least 11 people were killed Tuesday in an arson attack on a teahouse in the Iranian city of Ahvaz in southwestern Khuzestan province, state IRIB TV reported.

Some people set the teahouse on fire deliberately on Tuesday morning, Sardar Abbaszadeh, said the chief commander of Khuzestan Police Force.

The motivation behind the attack was personal disputes, Abbaszadeh said, adding that the suspects were arrested and confessed to their crime.

The blaze destroyed the teahouse filled with pressurized canisters, Tasnim news agency reported.

Firefighters arrived at the scene four minutes after the fire was reported and helped rescue more than 40 people from the blaze. Five people were injured, including three firemen. Enditem
