Dollar climbs to 106 yen line on buying of Japanese importers

TOKYO, April 3 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar rose to above the 106 yen line Tuesday in Tokyo on buying by Japanese importers who sought a good bargain.

At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 106.04-05 yen compared with 105.87-97 yen in New York and 106.28-29 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday. It moved between 105.70 yen and 106.09 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.2323-2325 dollars and 130.68-72 yen against 1.2297-2307 dollars and 130.26-36 yen in New York and 1.2330-2331 dollars and 131.05-09 yen in Tokyo late Monday afternoon. Enditem
