Urgent: Germany to extradite former Catalan leader

BERLIN, April 3 (Xinhua) -- German prosecutors announced Tuesday that a former leader of Spain's Catalonia arrested recently in Germany will be extradited.

Attorney General Schleswig-Holstein has applied to the Higher Regional Court in Schleswig for an extradition order of Carles Puigdemont, who had been living in exile in Brussels after failed attempt to separate Catalonia from Spain last October.

He was arrested on March 25 after entering Germany from Denmark. Enditem
