Sudan congratulates Sisi for winning Egyptian presidential election

KHARTOUM, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Sudanese government on Monday congratulated the Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi on his re-election as president.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has followed with great concern the presidential election, which took place in Egypt and in which President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi won the trust of the Egyptian people," said Sudan's foreign ministry in a statement.

The ministry expressed "sincere congratulations to President Sisi and the Egyptian people for exercising this constitutional right."

It further expressed wishes of the Sudanese government and people of security and prosperity for Egypt.

The ministry reiterated in its statement Sudan's readiness to press ahead on the path of developing the bilateral ties between the two brotherly countries in all fields. Enditem
