Ukrainian capital sees coldest March this century

KIEV, April 2 (Xinhua) -- The Central Geophysical Observatory in Kiev said on Monday that last month was the coldest March in the Ukrainian capital since the start of the 21st century.
The average temperature in Kiev last month was minus 1.9 degrees Celsius, which is below the climatic norm of 0.7 degrees Celsius, the meteorological service said in a statement.
Last month, the average temperature in Kiev was lower than the climatic norm for the first time in five years, the statement said.
March 2 was the coldest day of the past month in the Ukrainian capital with the lowest temperature of minus 14.7 degrees Celsius, while March 27 was the warmest day with the temperature rising to 9.3 degrees Celsius. Enditem
