Dollar hovers in lower 106 yen zone in Easter holidays

TOKYO, April 2 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar hovered in the lower 106 yen zone Monday in Tokyo as overseas market players were absent due to the Easter holidays.

At 5:00 p.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 106.28-29 yen compared with 106.26-36 yen in New York and 106.18-19 yen in Tokyo at 5:00 p.m. Friday. It moved between 106.19 yen and 106.41 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.2330-2331 dollars and 131.05-09 yen against 1.2318-2328 dollars and 130.92-131.02 yen in New York and 1.2322-2323 dollars and 130.84-88 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon. Enditem
