4 killed in road crash in central Sri Lanka

COLOMBO, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Two males and Two females of a family died on Monday in a road crash in the town of Galewela in central Sri Lanka, local police said.

According to the police, the victims were killed when their three-wheeler collided head on with a lorry.

The police said the driver of the lorry was taken into custody after the accident.

Road crashes claimed over 3,000 lives in Sri Lanka last year. Enditem
