MANAGUA -- At least 46 people were killed in Nicaragua over the Holy Week from March 25 to 31, the national police's spokesperson, Vilma Gonzalez, announced on Sunday.
Speaking at a press conference, Gonzalez said that a total of 22 people died by drowning, 15 in traffic accidents and nine in homicides. (Nicaragua-Deaths-Holy Week)

BERLIN -- German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas has said he wanted to resume dialogue and improve ties with Russia after the poisoning attack and the mutual expulsion of diplomats, according to Bild am Sonntag.
Maas told the newspaper that although much trust were lost in the last few years due to Russia's behavior, Germany needs Russia as a partner to settle regional conflicts, for disarmament and as an important pillar of multilateralism. (Germany-Russia-Ties)

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump suggested Sunday that there would be no deal to legalize the status of hundreds of thousands of "Dreamers", undocumented immigrants brought to the United States as children.
"No MORE DACA DEAL!" Trump said in an emphatic tweet Sunday morning. DACA refers to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, an Obama administration program that shields Dreamers from deportation. (US-Trump-DACA)

KAMPALA -- The Uganda People's Defense Forces (UPDF) said its forces killed 22 al-Shabaab terrorists in Somalia on Sunday.
The army deployed in Somalia under African Union Mission in Somalia killed the terrorists when they attempted to attack bases at Quoroyole, Buulo Mareer, and Golwen in Lower Shabelle Region of Somalia, UPDF deputy army spokesperson Col.
