SHIBERGHAN, Afghanistan, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Two foreign militants of the Islamic State (IS) group have been killed after Afghan warplanes targeted the hardliner group's hideout in northern Jawzjan province, deputy to provincial police chief Abdul Hafiz Khashi said Sunday.

"Acting upon intelligence report, the warplanes struck IS hideout in Darzab district on Saturday afternoon, killing two foreign rebels of the outfit," Khashi told Xinhua.

Three more foreign fighters have been arrested, the official said.

However, he declined to identify the nationalities of the foreign fighters.

The IS group has yet to make comments on the report. Enditem
