CAPE TOWN, March 31 (Xinhua) -- The following are top news items in South African major media outlets on Saturday.

-- President Cyril Ramaphosa on Friday called for unity within the African National Congress (ANC) during a Good Friday sermon at the Covenant Fellowship Church International in eSikhaleni in KwaZulu-Natal.

Ramaphosa said the ruling party was strongest when it was united.(News24)

-- Transport Minister Blade Nzimande said on Friday his department has launched an investigation into the cause of three fatal crashes this week.

The three accidents happened in different parts of the country and claimed at least 31 lives.(Eyewitness News)

-- South Africa will speed up visa processes and lure major conferences in an effort to boost foreign arrivals by 40 percent by 2021, Tourism Minister Derek Hanekom said on Friday.
