Tokyo stocks open higher on Wall Street's overnight advance

TOKYO, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened higher Friday tracking gains on Wall Street overnight as tech-related issues were bought back after a sell-off earlier in the week.

As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 193.92 points, or 0.92 percent, from Thursday to 21,353.00.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, added 10.52 points, or 0.62 percent, at 1,714.52.

Marine transportation, mining and real estate-oriented issues comprised those that gained the most in the opening minutes after the morning bell. Enditem
