China issues guidelines on transfer of IP rights

BEIJING, March 29 (Xinhua) -- China's State Council issued guidelines Thursday on reviewing the transfer of intellectual property rights to foreign investors.

The government will review proposed IP transfers that include the layout design of integrated semiconductors, software, and new plant varieties, said a statement issued by the General Office of the State Council.

The statement said the review will mainly involve the influence of IP transfers on national security and the influence on innovation capacity in key technology. Enditem
