35 suspects arrested for drug trafficking in S China

GUANGZHOU, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Guangzhou police said Thursday that 35 suspects had been arrested for drug trafficking.

On January 22, police raided a drug ring in Guangdong Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, arresting the suspects.

About 3.85 kg of heroin and 3 kg of methamphetamine were seized during the raids.

Police found the ring had been involved in eight drug cases, trafficking 45.85 kg of heroin and 6 kg of methamphetamine.
