TAIPEI, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Most working Taiwan people under 35 feel huge financial pressure due to low salaries, a survey showed Thursday.
About 86 percent of 1,145 respondents said that low salaries were a major source of stress, according to a survey of workers under 35 in Taiwan by local human resource platform 1111 Job Bank.
Only 10 percent of them reported monthly salaries above the island's monthly average, according to 1111 Job Bank's Daniel Lee.
After factoring in inflation, the official average salary in 2017 was slightly lower than that registered in 2000, said Lee.
Other sources of stress include slow growth in salary, inflation, unclear career paths and long working hours. Enditem
