KIEV, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine has planned to privatize about 600 small facilities this year, Vitalii Trubarov, acting head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.

The facilities include the assets of government-owned and municipal enterprises and the property of these enterprises, including completed and unfinished buildings, equipment, and the objects of social and cultural purposes, Trubarov said.

Under its major privatization program for 2017-2020, the Ukrainian government to privatize a total of 893 facilities to fill the cash-strapped state budget, enhance the efficiency of the enterprises and create new jobs.

Earlier this month, a new law on privatization of the state property, which is aimed at attracting more investors, came into the force in Ukraine.

The legislation provides an opportunity for the investors to sign contracts with the Ukrainian government and settle the disputes with it under the international law. Enditem
