JERUSALEM, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Israel's official trading platform for diamonds is seeking to expand business in China through a new partnership with Chinese jewelers and suppliers, said the Israel Diamond Institute (IDI) Wednesday.
Get-Diamonds, the official B2B e-commerce platform of the Israeli diamond industry, has signed a partnership agreement with Rock & Trade, a diamond website for Chinese jewelers and suppliers, the IDI said in a press release.
Through this agreement, all goods offered on Get-Diamonds will automatically go to Rock & Trade, and the Chinese jewelers will be able to buy the stones directly from the website, said the IDI.
The Israel-based Rock & Trade, the top trading platform for loose diamonds in the Far East, offers access to hundreds of Chinese jewelers and suppliers.
IDI Chairman Boaz Moldawsky hailed the agreement as an important step in expanding the reach of Get-Diamonds in one of Israel's leading markets.
"Get-Diamonds is an extremely powerful tool in growing Israel's diamond trade. This partnership will enable us to trade directly with Chinese jewelers easily and efficiently and in their own language," he said.
"We are officially partnering with the Israel Diamond Exchange to enhance the ecosystem between China and Israel," said Near Kella, Rock & Trade co-founder.
Get-Diamonds was introduced in 2016 by the IDI and the Israel Diamond Exchange to make the stocks of Israeli diamond companies accessible to a bigger market. Every member of the Israel Diamond Exchange is able to offer their goods on the website. Enditem
