German shares close flat Wednesday

FRANKFURT, March 28 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 30.12 points, or 0.25 percent, to close at 11,940.71 points.

German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies lost 3.39 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by German airlines Lufthansa and Commerzbank, which lost 3.09 and 2.39 percent respectively.

German personal-care company Beiersdorf gained 3.70 percent, becoming the top gainer. Pharmaceutical company Merck advanced 2.24 percent. Energy group RWE went up by 2.03 percent.

Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens was the most traded share with a turnover of 308.25 million euros (382.16 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
