CBOT futures lower as traders eye USDA report

Xinhua,March 29, 2018 Adjust font size:

CHICAGO, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) futures were trading modestly lower on Wednesday morning as traders awaited a forthcoming report on stocks and seeding.

As of 1457 GMT, May corn was down 1.5 cents at 3.725 U.S. dollars per bushel while May wheat was down just 0.5 cent at 4.485 dollars and May soybeans down 1.25 cents at 10.1825 dollars per bushel.

The CBOT markets lacked fresh news overnight and funds continued to trim their market exposure ahead of Thursday's report by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) on stocks and seeding.

This report is regarded to be the most important one of the first quarter as it will set the stage for CBOT price action into early summer, said analysts with the AgResource company. Enditem
