OTTAWA, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Two persons traveling from Jamaica were arrested at the Toronto Pearson International Airport for carrying cocaine disguised as coffee, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) said on Wednesday.
During a routine baggage inspection on March 22, CBSA officers found each of the two passengers were carrying six containers, declared as coffee.
The officers opened the containers and found a white powder, which after being tested was found to be cocaine. Over 7 kilograms of cocaine was seized and the two were turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
This year, CBSA has seized 25 consignments of cocaine weighing over 145 kilograms. Enditem
