ADDIS ABABA, March 28 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Wednesday.

-- Abiy Ahmed, chair of the Oromo Peoples Democratic Organization (OPDO), has been elected as chairperson of the ruling coalition, the Ethiopian Peoples' Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF). (Ethiopian News Agency/ENA)

-- Ethiopia has attracted 2.2 billion U.S. dollars foreign direct investment (FDI) during the first half of the present budget year, according to Ethiopian Investment Commission.
