Iran's DM to visit Russia for security conference

TEHRAN, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Defense Minister will visit Russia's capital Moscow next week to take part in the 7th Moscow Conference on International Security (MCIS), Tasnim news agency reported on Wednesday.

The visit by Brig. Gen. Amir Hatami will be made at the invitation of Russia's Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu.

Hatami is scheduled to hold talks with his Russian counterpart on bilateral, regional and international issues.

On the sidelines of the event, Hatami will also meet the defense ministers and security and military officials of a number of other countries attending the conference.

The 7th Moscow Conference on International Security will be held on April 4-5. Defense ministers and military officials from over 80 countries are expected to partake in the two-day event. Enditem
