ADDIS ABABA -- Ethiopia's ruling coalition, the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front on Tuesday elected Abiy Ahmed as its new chairperson effectively making him the next Prime Minister of Ethiopia.

Ahmed, chairman of Oromo People's Democratic Organization which rules over Ethiopia's largest and most populous regional state of Oromia, will replace the outgoing Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn. (Ethiopia-Prime Minister)

WASHINGTON, March 27 (Xinhua) -- The meeting of a U.S.-India working group was held in New Delhi, India on Tuesday to coordinate bilateral efforts to counter terrorism, according to a statement released by the two governments.
