DAMASCUS -- A total of six people were set free on Monday night from the rebels' captivity in the capital Damascus' Eastern Ghouta, state news agency SANA reported.
The state news agency revealed the names of the newly-released people from the town of Arbeen in Eastern Ghouta, as part of a deal reached recently for the rebels' evacuation from areas in the central part of Eastern Ghouta. (Syria-Eastern Ghouta)

BAQUBA, Iraq -- Three people, including two senior local officials, were shot dead in overnight attacks by gunmen in two villages in Iraq's eastern province of Diyala, a local official said Tuesday.
Unidentified gunmen broke into the house of the administrative chief of a village near the town of Jalawlaa, some 150 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, and shot dead the official and his son before fleeing the scene, Yaqoub Mulla-Ali, mayor of Jalawlaa, told Xinhua. (Iraq-Terror-Attacks)

DOHA, March 27 -- Qatar has rejected the accusation by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) of its fighter jets intercepting two UAE's civilian aircraft, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported Tuesday.
Qatar Civil Aviation Authority dismissed in a statement the UAE's claim as "an attempt to cover the multiple breaches of Qatari airspace" by the Gulf states, the QNA report said. (Qatar-UAE-Airspace)

JERUSALEM -- The Israeli army captured on Tuesday three Gazans who have entered the Israeli territory with knives and grenades.
Footprints were discovered in Israeli territory adjacent to the security fence in the southern Gaza Strip. After searching the area, the troops apprehended three suspects armed with knives and grenades, said the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). (Israel-Gaza) Enditem
