France, Vietnam want more cooperation

Xinhua,March 28, 2018 Adjust font size:

PARIS, March 27 (Xinhua) -- France and Vietnam aimed to deepen economic and defense cooperation, as leaders of the two nations met here on Tuesday.

Several French companies including Air France, EDF and Bouygues, signed agreements with Vietnamese companies, as Vietnamese Communist Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was visiting France.

French President Emmanuel Macron said his country currently accounts for only one percent of Vietnam's international trade.

"I hope that we can continue the work that has been started in recent years in agri-food and energy projects and sustainable cities," Macron said. Enditem
