Xinhua,March 28, 2018 Adjust font size:

PRAGUE, March 27 (Xinhua) -- Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Paul Ryan was in Prague on a 3-day unofficial visit with his family since Monday.

On Tuesday afternoon, Czech Speaker Radek Vondracek and Ryan signed a Jubilee Declaration as a recognition the centennial Czechoslovakia founding and the start of U.S.-Czech diplomatic relations in 1918.

It was the first time a high-ranking American politician paid a visit to the Czech Republic since April 2010 when former U.S. president Barack Obama came to Prague.

Also, Paul Ryan was one of the first foreign politicians to address a special session at the Lower Chamber of the Czech Parliament devoted to the role of the U.S. over European security in the past 100 years. Enditem
