Underwater gambling video gets gamblers into trouble in Thailand

Xinhua,March 27, 2018 Adjust font size:

BANGKOK, March 27 (Xinhua) -- A video of four divers playing cards for money under sea in southern Thailand could probably swamp the divers with prosecution, local media Tuesday reported.

The video, named "card school", went viral on social media since early March, in which many coins are clearly visible near four people who are playing games under the sea in Krabi, one of Thailand's famous island destination.

Anurak Parinyasathitakun, a Krabi water police said the video might be filmed abroad, adding that if it was filmed in Thailand, the four divers could face prosecution.

The case is under investigation.

Gambling, including playing cards and casinos are illegal in Thailand, a Buhddhism dominated country where people consider gambling one of four vices which lead to ruin. Enditem
