Mongolia, Hong Kong establish mutual legal assistance in criminal matters

ULAN BATOR, March 27 (Xinhua) -- The governments of Mongolia and China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region have signed an intergovernmental agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Tuesday.

The agreement was signed on Monday at the Security Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government by S. Erdene, consulate- general of Mongolia to Hong Kong, and Lee Ka-Chiu, secretary for security of Hong Kong.

Within the framework of the agreement, the law enforcement agencies of the two sides will cooperate in criminal matters, including criminal investigation, trial and prosecution. Enditem
