Four killed in shopping mall fire in Russia

Xinhua,March 25, 2018 Adjust font size:

MOSCOW, March 25 (Xinhua) -- At least four people -- three children and one woman -- were killed in a fire that broke out in a shopping mall in south central Russia's Kemerovo city on Sunday, the Russian Investigative Committee said.

The four deceased were in a children's playroom when the fire broke out, the committee said in a press release, adding that 26 others also suffered injuries as a result and received medical treatment in local hospitals.

The ceiling of a cinema in the shopping mall partially collapsed in the blaze, and fire fighters are still working at the scene to put out the fire and save people, it said.

An investigation into the cause of the tragedy is underway. Enditem
