Worldwide universities think tank network launched in Beijing

BEIJING, March 24 (Xinhua) -- The worldwide universities think tank network was launched Saturday in Beijing.

Proposed by the Renmin University of China (RUC), the network was established under the framework of the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN).

Nearly 200 experts from China and abroad took part in the first conference of the network, exchanging ideas on the theme of green development along the Belt and Road.

By working together, the network would promote knowledge creation and cultivate new type talents, actively respond to opportunities and challenges in the changing world, and contribute to the progress of human society, said Liu Wei, president of the RUC.

Founded in 2000, the WUN is a global network for higher education and research consisting of 23 universities from 13 countries. Enditem
