Spanish Ibex-35 stock exchange suffers further losses on Friday

MADRID, March 23 (Xinhua) -- The Spanish Ibex-35 stock index suffered further losses on Friday, with 0.99 percent knocked off share values.

The Ibex-35 opened the Friday session on 9,487.40 points and ended the day on 9,393.10 points, which is a loss of 0.99 percent, and a fall of 3.76 percent in value over the week which has taken the Ibex-35 down to its lowest level since February 2017.

Among the companies seeing their share values increase there are telecommunication company, Cellnex; the bank, Banco Sabadell and media company, Mediaset, whose share prices rose by 1.88 percent, 1.49 percent and 0.89 percent respectively.

Industrial and technological company Indra, meanwhile suffered another day of heavy losses with share values falling by 4.11 percent, followed by steel manufacturers Acerinox, whose shares dropped by 3.65 percent in value, and Arcelormittal with a 3.29 percent fall in the share price. Enditem
