JAKARTA, March 23 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian badminton association was optimistic that the country's shuttlers will pass group qualification in Thomas Cup and Uber Cup this year.

Senior official at the association Susy Susanti made the statement after group drawing for world badminton tournaments scheduled to be played in Bangkok of Thailand from May 20-27 of this year.

Susy said that she did not worry over the result of the drawing.

"For us, the result of the drawing will not significantly affect," she said.

Still, the senior official admitted that the strength of nations in badminton sport has been equal recently

For Thomas Cup tournament, Indonesia shares a group with South Korea, Canada, and host Thailand, according to the association.

For Uber Cup tournament, Indonesia is one group with China, Malaysia and France, it said.

Susi revealed that the association has prepared a strategy for the country's shuttlers in competing in both tournaments.
