(Special for CAFS) Zambian leader says he is in good health

Xinhua,March 22, 2018 Adjust font size:

LUSAKA, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Zambian President Edgar Lungu said on Thursday that he's in good health and denied reports of being sick.

Last week, some online news sites reported that Lungu was sick and had sneaked to South Africa to seek medical attention.

But Lungu said he is in good health and working to deliver to the expectations of the Zambian people, according to state broadcaster, the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation.

Lungu, who turns 62 in November, said he has never hidden his health condition and that he will always inform citizens when need be.

The Zambian leader further expressed concern that some people had continued to wish him ill when he was fit to run the affairs of the country. Enditem
