Dollar changes hands near 106 yen line in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, March 22 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands close to the 106 yen line in early deals in Tokyo on Thursday, largely unchanged from its overnight levels in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 105.92-93 yen compared with 105.99-106.09 yen in New York at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.2346-2347 dollars and 130.76-77 yen against 1.2333-2343 dollars and 130.81-91 yen in late Wednesday afternoon trade in New York.

Financial markets here were closed Wednesday for a national holiday. Enditem
