Xinhua,March 22, 2018 Adjust font size:

HELSINKI, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Unofficial conversation held in Finland between representatives of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), South Korea and the United States ended on Wednesday, the Finnish Foreign Ministry said.

The meeting was one of a series of academic sessions exploring approaches to building confidence and reducing tensions on the Korean Peninsula, said the statement.

The meeting had been planned "well in advance of the recent promising developments related to the Korean situation," and "the participants had a constructive exchange of views in a positive atmosphere," Foreign Ministry Director General Kimmo Lahdevirta told reporters.

Earlier reports said the talks would concern the preparation of the April summit between South Korea and the DPRK and for a later one between the leaders of the DPRK and the United States. Enditem
