SEOUL -- South Korea offered Wednesday to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) for holding high-level talks on March 29 at Tongilgak, a DPRK building in the truce village of Panmunjom.

Kim Eui-kyeom, the Cheong Wa Dae (the Blue House) spokesman, told a press briefing that Seoul has made the dialogue proposal to be held ahead of the inter-Korean summit, which the two Koreas agreed to hold in late April at Peace House, a South Korean building in Panmunjom. (S.Korea-DPRK-Talks)

SEOUL -- South Korean President Moon Jae-in hinted Wednesday at a possible trilateral summit with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the United States under situations that make progress.

YANGON -- Myanmar President U Htin Kyaw has resigned from post to take a rest, according to an official release of the President Office on Wednesday.

CANBERRA -- The Australian government will roll back high-level protections for marine areas to promote tourism and fishing industries under a proposal tabled on Wednesday.

Under the changes, announced by Environment Minister Josh Frydenberg on Tuesday before the policy documents were uploaded to the Federal Register of Legislation on Wednesday, 80 percent of Australia's marine park waters would be open to commercial fishing, up from 63 percent.
