RABAT, March 14 (Xinhua) -- The Moroccan navy arrested on Wednesday 23 African illegal migrants off its northern coast, local media reported.

The Moroccan news site Alyaoum24.com said that Morocco's navy arrested the migrants after intercepting their three boats while they were heading towards the Spanish coast.

The same source noted that the migrants were transferred to the port of the northern city of Tangier, and an investigation was opened to determine the circumstances of their illegal migrant attempt.
