Murder inquiry launched after man shot, stabbed in north London

LONDON, March 17 (Xinhua) -- A murder investigation has been under way after a man was found shot and stabbed in north London, Metropolitan Police said Saturday.

The victim, in his 20s, was discovered in a street in Enfield just after midnight. He was found with stab wounds and a gunshot wound.

Police also found another seriously injured man, aged 20s as well, with stab wounds. He was taken to an east London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating. There have been no arrests and enquiries continue. Enditem
