Colombia, Egypt to meet in pre-World Cup friendly

   BOGOTA, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Colombia and Egypt will meet in an international friendly in June as they fine-tune their preparations for the World Cup, a Colombian official said on Thursday.

   The match will be played in Italy on June 1, 13 days before the World Cup begins in Russia, Colombian Football Federation (FCF) president Ramon Jesurun told reporters.

   Jose Pekerman's team will also play a friendly against a still undetermined opponent in Bogota in late May, according to Jesurun.

   Colombia enter the final stage of their World Cup planning with friendlies against France and Australia later this month.

   Los Cafeteros will meet Les Bleus in Paris on March 23 followed by a clash against the Socceroos in London four days later.

   Colombia have been drawn in Group H of the World Cup alongside Japan, Senegal and Poland. Egypt will contest Group A with Russia, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay.  Enditem
